The Port of Galveston is adding another cruise line, and that is one more sign of how quickly the Galveston Bay area continues to grow as a travel and tourism hub.

When is Margaritaville at Sea coming to Galveston?
Margaritaville at Sea is expected to begin weekly departures from Galveston in October 2027. The line is slated to become the Port of Galveston’s seventh cruise line and operate from Cruise Terminal 28.
What has been announced so far?
The Galveston Wharves Board of Trustees approved an agreement in August 2026 that includes weekly sailings from Cruise Terminal 28. The initial agreement is for one year with options to extend it for two additional five-year terms.
